Benjamin Disraeli said: The constancy of intent is the key to success. This line is written in the poster which was attached in the headmaster room at Taylors College, Kuala Lampur, in 1977.

Japanese principle Ikigai: This is Japanese teaching. It is a mixture of four components passion, vocation, profession, and mission. They considered that Do that work which is you love most, which is the need of society, which gives you money, and also in which you are an expert….These are the concepts of the word Ikigai.

But in modern times, the concept of Ikigai is not enough to succeed at work. Because of our interests in technologies, a gesture of the labor market, the world’s needs alter over time. A career must have a temporal dimension that can’t be captured by simply mapping your Ikigai now. So, how can we find the first principle of succeeding in work?

What Is the First Principle of Succeeding in Work?

Passion

Generally, that is what we strive for: to perform work that makes us happy. And we spend the majority of our leisure time doing the work that we love. The work that brings happiness to our lives becomes our passion. Different people have different passions according to their choice. Some people love to read books, teach others, make their garden beautiful, do home decoration, do business, travel the world, etc.

Usually! People try to make their passion for their profession a source of employment. Because they love to do it and also make money for their employment. So, it is a good principle for succeeding at work. But weight…

Success will come if you follow your passion with excellence.

The thing is that it may not be possible for all those people that their passion should become their profession. Because of their financial problems, it’s possible that their enthusiasm isn’t as required in the world as it once was.

According to Ikigai, having a need for that task in the world is equally vital for success in work. In modern time there are alot of changes become in the world, In everyday affairs, in the environment and in all the stages of life changes have been made. So, we need to be aware of worldly affairs for succeeding in our work. Following are some of my thinking that actually what is the first principle of succeeding in work:

  • Keep an eye on your tasks all the time (with your passion).
  • Take a look at how the world is changing.
  • Being a master at your work (according to your passion).
  • Acquire the ability to deal with failure.

Keep an eye on your tasks all the time (with your passion):

Uninterruptedly, always keep an eye on your tasks all the time.

  • Work hard, take risks
  • Keep your excitement alive all the time
  • Be honest with your work
  • Respect your coworkers
  • Be initiative in your work
  • Belief in yourself

All these are the keys (in my thinking) If you are doing, you can get success in your life and stay happy.

Take a look at how the world is changing

As usual, we see in the world there are a lot of changes become like in population, in our environment, in our food, etc. Many technical changes happen every day. So, always take a look and experience all the changes and then learn how they may benefit you. Do your own thing accordingly. And then definitely you can get success in your work.

World is changing

Being a master at your work (according to your passion)

Likewise, if you are a master in whatever you do, then this is also a great thing for you because If your hobby is your source of livelihood then you do your work excellently. It gives you energy and you go up to the heights of development and success. To summarise, being a master of your craft is a result of your enthusiasm.

Choose a field that reflects your passions. You don’t have to work in a job that directly corresponds to your passions, but you should channel them in some way.

Develop the ability to deal with setbacks.

Also, that is the important point, you should build an ability to deal with failure and also think about it that why did they fail? what blunders did they commit? what do you take out from these blunders? what should be done to fix the mistakes? Etc….take stock of all these things. Improve your work according to your passion. After that, you’ll notice how success will follow in your footsteps.

The bottom line is that, If you describe in one sentence, you have to master your dreams, be aware of what the worldly needs are, identify the things which \can frustrate you, and also take a look at those people that have failed.

Enjoy

Conclusion

Finally, I think you find the solution to what is the first principle of succeeding in work. If you are passionate and master your work, you will definitely succeed. You should have to think positively, act positively, and stay positive all the time because when a person does not think positively, he blames himself and feels like he doesn’t deserve to be happy. So, stay positive, work hard, and believe in yourself. Keep an eye on worldly changes and adapt your work accordingly.
